Easter Egg
Easter Egg

Oil on Canvis Removed from Frame, 50 x 50 cm, Circlish shape, horizontal and vertical. It seems Easter-like, but in fact, I was exploring horizontal and vertical lines, which indeed make a cross. I never had a thoughts or feelings about Christianity around any of my work. Admittedly, I was unconsciously influenced by the society I grew up in. In protestant churches, there were no human representations, only an empty cross, flowers, cloths and the altar.

Five Senses 2000 Installation Created for Chapel in Issy-Les-Moulineaux, Pigment powder, Acrylic, on Wooden Diptych.  How two people meet through the five senses. Framed by expressions about the senses: an English and a French layer. The colors and forms respond to the unusual and sensitive exhibit space, which was soon to become desacralized.
